    This place is absolutely delicious and all its pastries are incredibly yummy. Attention is great and selection is wide. Cash only but they have an ATM indoors

    In order to be more specific I am editing my review to clarify that the women who work at Happy Donuts are easily the most friendly, helpful and obliging in all of Noe Valley. Standard donut shop fare is available. The difference between this place and any other local donut shops:fresh in-house donuts daily. Fair French crullers, good apple fritters, yummy bear claws, croissants that don't have the consistency of a bread roll (a problem that plagues most places that make their own). Very good coffee. And any one of the ladies behind the counter will make you a fresh English muffin breakfast sandwich, a croissant turkey breast sandwich, or a tuna salad bagel fresh made when you order it. There is a large variety of menu items that can be ordered fresh, custom and delicious! I have been frequenting this establishment for over 20 years. They have never let me down no matter what hour of the day or, night. If you are in the neighborhood it is worth stopping in to try any of their offerings. The best time to go for a dozen donuts is last thing at night after drinks or first thing in the morning when trying to get a good jump on the day. And, that is just an issue of perspective because those two instances overlap each.

    The texture is light, soft and just the right amount of chewy. The matcha glaze is tasty and just enough matcha flavor to not be overpowering. It's a little messy but it's ok. Make sure you have napkins! :) I want to try their other flavors like cookies and cream and fruity pebbles next time.
